Simple and fun Pop-Up Cards perfect for kids, make great gift for Dad

HUDSON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the leading fabric and craft specialty retailer in America, is hosting a free Simple Sunday Make It-Take It event on June 9 from 2 to 3 p.m. at all Jo-Ann stores nationwide – a great opportunity for kids to create a fun, unique gift for Dad.

“This Father’s Day, we want to give kids the chance to tell Dad how much they care with a fun craft, and these three-dimensional Pop-Up Cards are perfect for the occasion,” said Beth Shivak, manager of special events for Jo-Ann. “Often times, Dad is one of the hardest people to choose a gift for, but these cool, handmade cards are sure to bring a smile to his face.”

During the Simple Sunday event on June 9, crafters can create one-of-a-kind Father’s Day Pop-Up Cards from the heart while learning quick card-making techniques. The event will last as long as supplies do, or until 3 p.m. – so come early!

Simple Sundays provide an opportunity for crafting and sewing enthusiasts to learn firsthand about the foundation of the Creativity Made Simple campaign: simple solutions to creativity. The simple solutions to creativity are simple skills, simple supplies, simple steps and simple shopping. This Simple Sunday is the fourth of 12 planned for 2013.
