Easy-to-craft Fabric Rings perfect for kids, make great gift for Mom

HUDSON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the leading fabric and craft specialty retailer in America, is hosting a free Simple Sunday Make It-Take It event on May 5 from 2 to 3 p.m. at all Jo-Ann stores nationwide – a great opportunity for kids to create a fashionable, handmade gift for Mom.

“Often, the best gifts we receive are the handmade ones – especially as a parent,” said Beth Shivak, manager of special events for Jo-Ann. “While this Simple Sunday project is fun for crafters of all ages, these fabric-covered rings are an easy way for kids to create a piece of handmade jewelry for Mom.”

During the Simple Sunday event on May 5, crafters will turn button covers, fabric and ring bases into one-of-a-kind pieces of fabric-covered jewelry for Mom – or any lover of unique, personalized jewelry. The event will last as long as supplies do, or until 3 p.m. – so come early!

Simple Sundays provide an opportunity for crafting and sewing enthusiasts to learn firsthand about the foundation of the Creativity Made Simple campaign: simple solutions to creativity. The simple solutions to creativity are simple skills, simple supplies, simple steps and simple shopping. This Simple Sunday is the third of 12 planned for 2013.
