Jo-Ann Launches Creativity Made Simple


Creativity Made Simple movement designed to help Americans rediscover time to create

HUDSON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the leading fabric and craft specialty retailer in America, is celebrating National Craft Month this March with the launch of the Creativity Made Simple campaign – a movement based on the fact that it feels great to create, but sometimes it seems like there just is not enough time.

“Crafting and sewing enthusiasts have been telling us they create in order to relax, and completing a project is one of the best, most rewarding feelings they experience. Recently, however, other aspects of their increasingly busy lives have eaten away at the time they used to take to sit back and create,” said Chris DiTullio, vice president of marketing for Jo-Ann. “With the Creativity Made Simple campaign, we have developed simple solutions to creativity and infused them throughout Jo-Ann stores and, to help crafting and sewing enthusiasts reconnect with the pastimes they love.”

The foundation of the Creativity Made Simple campaign is simple solutions to creativity, all designed to fit the busiest lives while catering to crafting and sewing enthusiasts of all skill and experience levels: simple skills, simple supplies, simple steps and simple shopping.

In Jo-Ann stores, simple inspiration abounds starting at the Idea Center, a collection of 24 simple, seasonal project sheets that will refresh throughout the year and serve as a springboard to creativity; it is a creative spark and shopping list all-in-one.

At least once a month from now until December, Jo-Ann will host Simple Saturdays – free product demonstrations – and Simple Sundays – free Make It-Take It craft projects. Throughout the year, crafting and sewing enthusiasts of all experience and skill levels can take classes at select Jo-Ann stores to learn the simple steps to lifelong creative skills.

From project ideas to contests and in-store event schedules to advice from some of the most popular crafting and sewing celebrities, is the home of the Creativity Made Simple campaign online and will be updated throughout the year with fresh content.
