JOANN Updates Leadership Organization to Advance Business

[Hudson,  OH] – As it evolves its business and brand, JOANN is leaning into its leadership and has reorganized structure to support strategic initiatives and customer focus. Most recently, the following changes have been announced:

  • Rob Will has been named Chief Merchandising Officer, now overseeing the craft, fabric and seasonal divisions. In his more than 3 years with the company as General Merchandising Manager - Craft, Rob revitalized the assortment and developed a robust talent pipeline. Rob also continues to serve as Executive Sponsor for JOANN’s eCommerce business, which continues to accelerate its profitable growth.  
     
  • Sharyn Hejcl will assume the title of Chief Innovation & Sourcing Officer. Under Sharyn’s leadership as SVP, GMM Seasonal, Sourcing & Product Development, JOANN advanced its global innovation and sourcing efforts, including opening an office in Shanghai. She will help bring the merchandising, product development and sourcing groups closer to accelerate product newness and ensure value.
     
  • Chris DiTullio has been appointed Chief Customer Officer, overseeing Store Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service & Insights. As Chief Marketing Officer and SVP, Stores, Chris led the research and evolution of the customer experience in stores. His teams will continue to focus on connecting and creating a seamless omni-channel experience, and reinforcing customer focus across the organization.

Rounding out the executive team:

  • Janet Duliga was named Chief Administration Officer in April 2019. Formerly SVP, Human Resources, Janet now oversees Human Resources, Legal & Governance, Asset Protection & Corporate Security, and Corporate Communications, and continues to transform the culture and work experience for JOANN Team Members.

 

  • Varadheesh Chennakrishnan joined JOANN as Chief Information Officer in March 2019. He oversees the IT, Supply Chain and Logistics groups, and is focused on leveraging technology to optimize operations.
     
  • Matt Susz was named Chief Financial Officer in February 2019, overseeing Finance, Real Estate and Inventory Management. He has been with JOANN more than 20 years and brings deep experience across the organization to his role.

All Officers report to President & Chief Executive Officer Wade Miquelon, who joined as CFO in 2016. Since joining the company, Wade has been a driver of strategic planning and heavily involved in key initiatives such as the development of JOANN’s concept store and fleet refresh. He was named Interim President & CEO after Jill Soltau’s departure in October 2018, and was formally appointed in February 2019.
